I love italian sweets over everything. But I do realize how much sugar is hiding inside. That is why although traditional italian cuisine is my favourite one, I need to be careful about how much much of it I take in on regular basis. And I definitely cannot resist the soft almond tast of these tiny amaretti buiscuits sometimes. So I introduce you to my low sugar (and gluten free too) version.
Let's get onto it!
If you have ever been to the south of Italy, especially the coast, you might have seen a stunning coastline with lemon trees all around, smiling people, amazing colours everywhere. But if you want to experience the real italian flair, start to plan your trip to Naples. The real Italy.
Rice Croquettes with La Genovese Sauce.Arancina (rice croquett) was probably born in Sicily. It is very popular street food in Palermo, and also in the south of Italy, especially Naples.
That's where my today's recipe come from. To be completely honest, I have been inspired by the recipe which I found in my new souvenir from Naples - book called "La Cucina di Napoli" (written by Maria Teresa di Marco and Lydia Capasso)
Salami Dolce, or chocolate salami is typical italian dessert.
I am quite excited to share this recipe with you guys. In order to prepare this treat, I received a recipe from my italian colleague at work, who comes from Florence. Not knowing the language properly, I didn't really know if the procedure I was going through was right. At the end it turned ot to be the best dessert I have made so far!
